| The Era 2 was the dawn of true civilization in Olair but it also became known as the dawn of the wars between the races as well. This Era lasted only seven hundred years but burned away the peace that this land had held only to bring about a new sense of peace, though this was one built from fake trust and hidden agendas. - The Blood in the Fields:
Once the Necromancer Azphael was defeated and the world returned it's sense of freedom the lands slowly became populated by races of all mixes. It had been seen as a time of peace but it was short lived once disputes began to grow from the attempted unity. The children of Ira attempted to build their own vampiric kingdom within the shadowy depths of the fields of darkness but it had soon become a haven for the fleeing and confused undead. This would not have caused much of a problem if it wasn't for the large number of wraiths travelling towards the territory, it being the easiest area in all of Olair to hide at the time that they were aware of from the human forces and the new organization known as the Shadow Watchers who were hunting them to extinction to rid the land of the evil that had once controlled them. This exodus, accompanied with their lingering want for war (Their original reason for creation), caused them to become a serious danger to the growing kingdom of vampires and the royal family was not going to stand for what looked like an attempted overrun of the undead.
The conflict first started with a misunderstanding between a small tribe of nomadic undead and a nobleman in the southern side of the fields. The tribe had just passed over from the wild prairies to escape the allied forces of the humans and the werewolves. Once over they kept to themselves in a borderland village but the third night of their stay changed it all. These undead were used to feeding on the week and landless that they would pass by on their exodus but here lay a town full of the healthy and well off living, a food source they had not been near since their time as the Necromancer's servants. It was too much for them to resist and the night became one of horror for those who survived it. The lives of men, women and children were lossed to those of the undead and the next morning the duke and his men found most of the town dead and a tribe of undead attempting to flee their last meal site. The group of undead were killed without mercy or warning by the duke's men. This sparked an aura of anger and hate amoungst the territory's undead once the tale had spread across the land and they were not going to stand by and be treated as their companions had been for being who they were. It was a misguided torch to lead them for a revolt but they had no ear to listen to one of the many races to treat them with distaste and slowly gathered forces.
